Young Angkrish & Dasrath Chavan ensure MCA Colts cruise to a win in Talim Shield’21
Bhatnagar Sports & Cultural Foundation opting to bat first at Cricket Club of India ground posted a decent total of 172/5 in 20 overs. Even though, it was a shaky start for them but Akshat Jain at no.4 played a fine innings off 55 runs off 39 deliveries. Akshat was well supported by in form batsman Yash Salunkhe who scored a quickfire 65 off 36 balls (8 fours, 1 six) at no.6. Yash had recently also scored a quick hundred in a practice match and looks in good touch! It was on the back of their half centuries, Bhatnagar team reached a 150+ total on the board.
Chasing 173, MCA Colts were not off to best of the starts with opener Sahil back in the hut in the 2nd delivery of the match. However, it was Angkrish Raghuvanshi who anchored the chase with a brilliant half century. Opener Angkrish scored a brilliant 79 off 53 balls smashing 9 fours and 2 sixes. With scoreboard reading 3/8 at one stage, Angkrish and Dasrath Chavan (69 runs off 47 balls) stitched 114 runs together for the 5th wicket ensuring MCA Colts cruise towards the target with 5 balls to spare.
