Karan More ton helps Sainath Sports Club win finals of Cosmopolitan Shield Tournament’21

Sainath Sports Club opting to bat first at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai posted a good total of 274/9 in 45 overs. Opener Shikhar Thakur scored 48 runs while it was Karan More at no.6 who came up with a crucial innings of 101 runs off 115 balls. Karan came at a time when scoreboard was 121/5 in 22 overs and he took his team from that stage towards a very good total with his fighting innings. Karan smashed 13 fours while also stitched 109 run partnership with Bharat Patil who played the supporting role scoring 41 runs at no.7. From the bowlers, Meet Samani with 4/34 was the pick of the lot.

Union Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 104 runs while left arm spinner Abhishek Pandey ran through the opposition’s batting line up coming up with impressive bowling figures of 4/15 in 9 overs. Apart from him, Sachin Solanki and Bharat Patil also bagged 2 wickets each.

Sainath Sports Club won by 170 runs and become the winners of Cosmopolitan Shield Tournament’21.
