Swapnil Salvi’s century goes in vain as Principle AG L&R Club lose finals of Moorjhani Shield’22

On April 22, Mumbai Customs took on Principle AG L&R Club in the finals of Moorjhani Shield. Principle AG L&R Club won the toss and elected to bat first.

Riding on Swapnil Salvi’s brilliant century, Principle AG L&R Club posted a daunting total of 7-182 in 20 overs. Salvi smashed 112 runs off just 46 balls, including nine boundaries and as many sixes. Bravish Shetty too made a useful contribution of 33 runs from 28 balls. On the other hand, Ankush Jaiswal was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Customs as he claimed 2-31 in four overs.

In reply, Mumbai Customs chased down the total in 17.5 overs to win the match by six wickets. Sachin Yadav (49), Prasad Pawar (48 not out) and Jude Singh (30) came together to help their team cross the line. For Principle AG L&R Club, Bhavesh Patel wreaked havoc with the ball, picking up three wickets.

Despite a brilliant century from Pr. AG’s Swapnil Salvi, his team failed to win the finals of Moorjhani Shield as they went down to Mumbai Customs by six wickets.
