Soham, Vedant and Pratham help Boys Cricket Club win the semi-finals of the Kalyan Premier League
When a team performs together, you don’t need to rely on just one player or the captain to win the match. When all the players work together as a team, good results are bound to come & one such example was the semi-final match between BCC (Boys Cricket Club, Dombivali) & Salgaonkar Sports Club (SSC, Thane)
Winning the toss, BCC elected to field first because not only was the pitch helpful for the bowlers but also they had a good bowling line-up to restrict the oppsoiton to a low total. Their decision did reap them dividends as Salgaonkar Sports Club were all out for just 144 runs. Bhagya Sehgal was the only batman who crossed 30+ & looked good for his 36. Collectively it was a good bowling effort by the BCC boys as they contained the batsman and also took wickets. Vedant Patil & Soham Talekar were amazing with the ball as both the players scalped 4wkts each with bowling figures of 4/21(4) & 4/9(4.2) respectively. Soham Rane also chipped in with 2wkts & supported Vedant and Soham nicely.
Chasing 145 is not the toughest of tasks & BCC proved it as they won the match by 7wkts and chased it in just 30.3 overs. The openers did not gave best of the starts but Harsh Palande & Pratham Nambiar came up with good knocks of 37 & 46 respectively. Pratham looked particularly confident & it was a match winning knock from him.
Cricketgraph congratulates the team for their commendable win and also wishes all the boys & especially Soham, Vedant & Pratham for their brilliant individual perfomances. Looking at their current form, they certainly look a tough nut to crack for the finals.
