The National Cross Maidan witnessed a wonderful match between Tata Power & Tata Steel Jamshedpur on Wednesday. It was the turn of Tata Power’s southpaw Praful Waghela who showed his mettle with the bat as he scored a unbeaten half-century to steer his team to a commendable win.

Winning the toss, Tata Steel Jamshedpur were off to a tricky start with their no.2 & 3 falling cheaply. Opener Siddarth Neelam scored a solid 37 off just 42 balls (2fours, 1 six). Satyajit Gera (27) & Ranjit Bera (25) chipped in with 20’s but no one below them were able to fire. Hence Tata Steel managed to reach only 136/9 in 20 overs & were not able to cross the 150 run mark. Uday Kolambe was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3/29 followed by 2wkts for Aditya Dhumal.

Chasing 137, Tata Power did not have the best of the starts with their top 5 batsman not able to make much of a difference. However, their middle order batsman Praful Waghela did the job for his team. This is not first time Praful came with a brilliant perfomance & once again showed his worth as he scored a destructive 54* off just 24 balls. Playing at a strike-rate of more than 200, praful smashed 8 fours and a six to turn the tables in his team’s favor.

Tata Power won the match & Praful Waghela was the ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Praful & the whole team & wishes them to go on & win the tournament.
