Raj Patil & Jay Bhanushali top the charts in the U12 Salgaonkar Trophy’19

The prestigious Salgaonkar Trophy has been a platform for young cricketers to perform since many years. Every year, new talent comes out from which many go on to become successful cricketers in Mumbai. This year’s edition has been a no surprise as some talented players have displayed amazing performances. In the latest edition of the Salgaonkar Trophy, Boys CC, Dombivali became the winners of the tournament while PAB Cricket Academy, Bhiwandi were the runners up. The famed Apsara Cups were given by NATARAJ pens to young cricketers from PAB Cricket Academy, Bhiwandi.

Raj Patil with 226 runs in 7 matches was the highest scorer in the tournament.  With a best score of 56.00 and a strike rate of a healthy 94.56, Jay has remained unbeaten in 6 games out the 7 innings he has played. His batting average in the tournament is 226.00 which is simply staggering! Raj has chipped in with crucial cameos throughout the tournament and remained a vital cog for his team-PAB Cricket Club Bhiwandi.

Harsh Patil (169 runs) & Rohan Karandikar (129 runs) are the next two highest run getters followed by Raj Patil who sits comfortably at the top of the table.

Highest Wicket-Taker

From the bowlers, it is Jay Bhanushali with 15 scalps in 6 matches being the leading wicket taker in the tournament. A frontline off-spinner for Boys C.A team, Jay registered excellent best bowling figures of 7/7 and a bowling average of a stunning 5.67 in the tournament.

Pranay Shinde (12wkts) and Aniket Patil (10wkts) are the next two leading wicket takers followed by Jay at the top of the table.
