Pranav Kela & Akshay Jambhekar sizzle for New Hind Sporting Club

In a nail-biting thriller, New Hind Sporting Club pipped Apollo Cricket Club by one wicket during the Young Comrade Shield. The game was played from December 24 to 25.

Winning the toss and electing to field first, New Hind Sporting Club bowled out Apollo Cricket Club for 180 in 48.2 overs. Akshay Jambhekar was the wrecker-in-chief with the ball for New Hind Sporting Club as he scalped 52/5. Nehal Katakdhond bowled well in tandem with Jambhekar and claimed 37/3. On the other hand, Apollo Cricket Club’s Dashrath Chavan starred with the bat, muscling 67.

In reply, New Hind Sporting Club completed the formalities in 45.3 overs, winning the match by one wicket. Pranav Kela led the run chase from the front with an unbeaten 91. Alongside Kela, Sidhaant Aadhhathrao made a valuable contribution of 46 with the bat. On the other hand, Apollo Cricket Club’s Vedant Khambe was the most successful bowler with 55/4, and Yash Singh gave Khambe good support by picking up 45/3.
