Pacer Yasin Saudagar takes a fifer to rattle Mahim Juveniles in the ongoing U-14 Late Ajit Naik Cricket Tournament2017-18

Played between Diamond Star SC and Mahim Juvenile SC at Worli Sports Club, Mahim Juvenile won the toss and elected to field first and put the opposition under pressure by restricting them to a low total.

However, batting first, Diamond Star CC batted well scoring 230/9 declare in 85.5 overs. Opener Ankit Yadav gave a start with his 34 while the no.3, 4 and 5 also batted really well to take their team to a competitive total.  Left-handed Tushar Singh (2fours, 1six) at no.3 was the highest scorer with a rock solid 201ball 59 followed by 38 by Adil Khan. Right-handed Harshvardhan Pandey at no.5 also did a really good job as he scored a timely knock of 55 off just 86balls (7fours). From the bowling side, Rishi Bhosle was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/24 in 16 overs.

In reply, Mahim Juveniles were simply bundled out by Diamond Star bowlers for just 39runs in 31.4 overs. The bowler who called for everyone’s attention was this right arm fast bowler Yasin Saudagar who came up with excellent and a match winning bowling figures of 5/17 in 11overs (5maidens). Young Yasin hit the deck hard and bowled in the right areas consistently which reaped rewards. Adil Sayyed was equally impressive as he took 3/6 in 8overs. Diamond Star again scored 117/7d in 56 overs before the end of the game’s play. Diamond Star CC won the match on 1^st innings and Yasin Saudagar’s bowling remained the highlight perfomance of the match.
