Miten Shah’s 125 & Prasad Patil’s all-round show steers Mafatlal CC to a win in the Times Shield’19

Mafatlal CC after being put to bat first at the scenic MCA Kandivali ground batted really well notching up 432 runs in 90.3 overs. Despite a lackluster top order start, it was their middle order comprising of Miten Shah at no.6 scoring a brilliant 125 off 108 balls (13 fours, 7 sixes) changing the course of the game. Miten was nicely supported by no.7 batsman Puneet Tripathy who scored 85 off 111 balls while all-rounder Prasad Patil who came at no.8 also lended a helping hand scoring a crucial 54 off 112 balls. Prasad stitched a good partnership with no.9 batsman Amit Pandey who scored 48 runs. For Mafatlal CC, it was their middle and lower middle order who saved them from a low total.

Teleperformances Global in reply were all out for 189 runs in 67.5 overs thanks to a match winning spell by Prasad Patil came up with bowling figures of 6/58 in 19 overs alongwith 7 maidens to his name. Prasad who is known to be a very promising all-rounder finally seems to be getting back to the groove as he has come up with a performance which will instill a lot of confidence in him for the coming season. Mafatlal receiving a follow on were 93/4 in 54 overs with Atul Singh taking 3/15 before the end of the game’s play where Mafatlal CC won the match on 1st innings lead.
