Dikshant’s 72 powers Vaze College to a 43-run win over Dhanukar

Dikshant starred with the bat for VG Vaze College against ML Dhanukar College during the Mumbai University inter-college tournament.

Batting first, Vaze College posted 143/7 in 20 overs. Dikshant, batting at number three, muscled 72 off 51, hitting 10 boundaries and two sixes. He powered his team to a competitive score and played a pivotal role in the 43-run win.

Dikshant also opened the bowling with Nishant and bowled his full quota of four overs. A promising all-rounder, Dikshant has had many good performances for Vaze College.

Cricket is a sport that Juili picked up right from her childhood days. Her journey from playing with the boys in the compound walls to practising under the able aegis of Jonty Rhodes has been a spectacular one.
She was a part of Mumbai Women’s U-19 and U-23 probables during her five-year stint at the MCA. As a middle order bat and a part time medium pace bowler, she also represented Mumbai University at All-India University Women’s Cricket for two years. She is also a certified MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Umpire and BCCI Commentator.
