17-Year-Old Wicketkeeper-Batter Yash Dusi Impresses with Back-to-Back Strong Performances

At just 17 years old, wicketkeeper and top-order batter Yash Dusi is making his presence felt across Mumbai’s school and club cricket circuit, putting together impactful performances in two different competitions.

Yash first caught attention in the Under-19 DSO match between SK Somaiya Vidyamandir and Sandhana Education Society. Batting first, SK Somaiya Vidyamandir posted a massive 176/1 in just 10 overs, with Yash playing an important role in the dominant batting display.

Coming in with an attacking approach, the 17-year-old scored 69 runs off just 22 balls, smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes. His quick-fire knock provided SK Somaiya with the momentum needed to reach a huge total in the 10-over contest.

The second innings saw Sandhana Education Society struggle against the SK Somaiya bowling attack. They were restricted to 35/9, resulting in a comprehensive 141-run victory for SK Somaiya Vidyamandir.

Yash continued his good run of form in the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League G Division on October 2, 2026, when he represented Gamdevi Cricketers against Worli Cricket Club.

This time, Yash showed a different side of his batting. Rather than the explosive 22-ball innings from the DSO match, he played a more composed knock, scoring 56 runs from 58 balls. His innings included 9 fours and a six, once again making a valuable contribution for Gamdevi Cricketers.

The two performances highlight Yash Dusi’s ability to adapt to different match situations. From an aggressive 69 off 22 balls in Under-19 school cricket to a patient 56 off 58 balls in the Kanga League, the 17-year-old wicketkeeper-top-order batter has shown that he can contribute in different ways depending on the demands of the game.

With his performances coming across both school and club cricket, Yash Dusi will be one to watch as he continues his development in Mumbai’s competitive cricket circuit.
