Young prodigy Esha Oza smashes a brilliant 101 alongwith 3wkts in the U23 MCA Women’s Summer Camp Tournament’19

SRT Center opting to bat first at Air India Sports Club, Kalina posted a healthy total of 266/6d in 36 overs. Despite two quick wickets, opener Esha Oza stood tall amongst the bowlers as she went on to score an impressive 101 off 92 balls. An innings where she played the anchors role at a healthy strike rate keeping the scoreboard ticking with 15 boundaries and a six. Apart from her, the rest of the girls chipped in with cameos.

Defending a total of 267, Police Gymkhana center managed to score mere 95 runs in as many as 40 overs with the loss of 8 wkts. A sluggish innings where most of the batswoman took time to settle as the SRT bowlers really bowled tight.

From the bowlers, Esha Oza who first starred with the bat also turned out to be pick of the lot coming up with impressive bowling figures of 3/9 in 6 overs with 2 maidens with her wily spin.

Having started playing cricket at the age of 15, Esha grasped the game and the passion for cricket in no time. She would often practice with her dad on weekends and would keep on practicing till the light fades away. The results of that hard work can certainly be seen as she keeps progressing in her cricket career.
