United Cricket Club Association wins on the back of Vishal Khot’s 100* in the MCA Summer Shield’20

Young Star Cricket Club Thane after opting to bat first posted a very good total of 294/9 in 46 overs. Despite a shaky start with both the openers falling out cheaply, Shardul Pawar (56) and Ritesh Punyarthi (60) coming at no.3 and 4 stitched a crucial stand of 87 runs to bring the team back into the game. Middle order batsman Sameer Apte coming at no.6 further changed the game with his aggressive batting smashing 85* off 81 balls (7 fours, 3 sixes). Sameer looked good for a deserving hundred but never the less, his innings pushed the team towards a good total.

United Cricket Club Association in reply managed to chase down the score successfully winning the match by 2 wkts. United CC reached 272/8 in 44.3 overs even though most of the batters found it difficult to get going, Vishal Khot coming at no.4 played a solid innings of 100* in 86 balls (8 fours , 2 sixes). Vishal kept the scoreboard ticking while kept his nerves despite lacking much of a support from the other end. Opener Om Kulkarni (42) and Vikas Lubana (35) were the other two top scorers for United CC as they batted around Vishal quite well.

Result-United CC Association won the match by 2 wkts.
