At just 18 years of age, Mumbai’s talented left arm spinner Siddhi Kamthe is steadily making a name for herself in women’s cricket. Currently representing John Bright Cricket Club, Siddhi’s journey is a perfect example of how consistency, discipline, and unwavering support can shape a promising cricketer.

Siddhi’s cricketing journey began during her school days under the guidance of coach Ivan Rodriguez and coach Flinn Patil at Andheri JVPD. It was there that she laid the foundation of her game and developed the skills that would later help her excel at the highest levels of Mumbai’s domestic circuit. Today, she continues to sharpen her craft under the guidance of coach Kalim Jaffer in Bandra, constantly working to improve as a left arm spinner.

Behind every step of Siddhi’s journey has been one constant figure her father. While he has always stayed away from the spotlight, he has been her strongest and most silent supporter, standing firmly beside her through every challenge, every selection, and every milestone.

Siddhi represented her school in prestigious tournaments such as MI Juniors and DSO, where she quickly gained a reputation for her wicket taking ability. From a young age, taking two or three wickets almost every match became a regular feature of her performances, highlighting her consistency and match winning mindset.

Her impressive performances earned her selection for the Girls Under 15 practice matches against Madhya Pradesh in 2022, marking an important milestone in her cricketing journey.

Siddhi continued to shine in Mumbai’s domestic circuit. During an MCA Women’s League Division D match between John Bright Cricket Club and J. Bhatia Sports Club, she produced a sensational spell, claiming 3 wickets for just 2 runs in four overs.

Her performances earned her a place in MCA Team A, where she continued to impress. During one of the league competitions, Siddhi finished as the Best Bowler of the Tournament, further establishing herself as one of Mumbai’s most promising young spin bowlers.

In December 2025, Siddhi was selected for the Women’s Under 19 One Day Trophy Elite. Against Jharkhand, she bowled an excellent spell of 5 overs, picking up 2 wickets, and earned a place among the Elite Group Round 4 Top Bowlers.

Back in Mumbai’s domestic competitions, Siddhi once again showcased her class. Representing Oriental Cricket Club in the MCA Women’s Knockout Group A, she registered outstanding figures of 3 wickets for just 2 runs in four overs. She followed it up with another impressive performance against Aarey Cricket Club, where she claimed 3 wickets in 7 overs, continuing her remarkable consistency.

The next major breakthrough came in the Women’s MPL T20 2026, where Siddhi was picked up by Aakash Tigers. Making her debut in the tournament, the young spinner made an immediate impact by taking 3 wickets for 29 runs in her four overs, proving that she belonged on one of Mumbai’s biggest women’s cricket stages.
