Sarfraz bags fifer, Centuries for Rudra Dhanday (133) & Ashay Sardesai (129) in the A Division Times Shield’22
Played at Air India Ground in Santacruz, Mumbai, Air India Sports Club after being put to bat first posted a total of 251/10 in 68.4 overs. Skipper Rudra Dhanday led from the front scoring more than half of the team runs as he went on to score an impressive 133 off 144 balls. Wickets kept on tumbling from the other end but Rudra held fort smashing 20 boundaries at a healthy strike rate of almost 93.00! From the bowlers, Sarfraz Ashraf was the pick of the lot returning with bowling figures of 5/39 in 11 overs.
DY Patil in reply scored 363 runs in 94.2 overs with no.4 batsman Ashay Sardesai guiding the team towards a strong position. Ashay scored 129 off 207 balls which included 19 fours and a six. Air India in their 2nd innings scored 263 runs with half centuries from Ayush Zimare (76 runs) and Karan Surayaa (54 runs). Left Arm Spinner Karsh Kothari was the pick of the lot with 4 wkts for Dy Patil in the 2nd innings.
DY batted for 13 overs in their 2nd innings scoring 93/2 with skipper Kevin Almeida unbeaten on 51* before the end of the game’s play wherein match ended in a draw.
