Rohit Pol’s 159* steers Mumbai Police Gymkhana to a win in the Young Comrade Shield Tournament’19

Mumbai Police Gymkhana electing to bat first at Sainath Sports Club scored 386/9 in 90 overs. Despite a few early wickets, the experienced Rohit Pol changed the game with his elegant knock of 159*.

Rohit scored 159* in 266 balls laced with 16 fours and 4 sixes as he stabilized Mumbai Police Gymkhana’s innings till the very end. Humayun Hirapure and Santosh Shinde also chipped in with half centuries. Medium pacer Rahul Chaudhary with 5/61 in 14 overs was the pick of the bowlers for Sainath SC.

Sainath SC in reply were all out for 258 runs despite two fighting half centuries by Jigar Rana (58) & Umesh Gurjar (77). Left-arm spinner Anirudha Mainkar with 4/43 was the pick of the bowlers while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job as Mumbai Police Gymkhana won the match by 122 runs.
