Rahul Kulkarni’s all-round show helps Piramal Healthcare win the finals of Shiraz-e-hind T20 Tournament (Pink Ball)
Held at the Navroz Cricket Ground in Mumbai, it was the all important finals of the Shiraz-E-Hind Tournament between Piramal Enterprises and Global Hospital Cricket Club. Both the teams are competitive and an exciting match was bound to happen where in Piramal Boys batted first.
Both Team Coach Chandrashekhar Karmalkar
Batting first, it was not the best of the performances with the bat as Piramal Healthcare were all out for 116/5 in 20 overs. The pitch was a little tricky and slightly favoring the bowlers more. Almost every batsman gave a start in 10’s and 20’s but none of the batsman could convert it into a big score. Rahul kulkarni at no.4 was the highest scorer with a solid looking 36 off 40balls which actually helped them cross the 100+ run mark. Dayanand Patil was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/35 in 4 overs followed by a wkt each for Kapil, Nilesh & Ashish.
Chasing 117 at below 6runs per over is 9.99 times achievable out of 10 but Piramal boys gave an excellent comeback with good bowling and fielding restricting Global Hospital to just 89/10 in 17.5 overs. Gaurang patel was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/29 in his 4 overs followed by 2/11 by Satish and 2/17 by left-arm spinner Rahul Kulkarni.
Piramal Healthcare won the finals of the shiraz-e-hind tournament by 27runs & all-rounder Rahul Kulkarni was declared ‘man of the match’ for his promising perfomance. Cricketgraph congratulates Rahul & the winning team and also wishes luck to all the players for a great cricketing year ahead.
