India has over the years got great batsman, decent all rounders but only a handful of fast bowlers who have taken more than 250 ODI wickets apart from Agarkar, Srinath and Zaheer. India has always been in a shortage of genuine pace bowling talent and when such young kids perform like this, it just renews our hopes that India has a lot of talent in every nook and corner.

15yr old Anzar Mirza who is looking so promising with the ball in the Harris Shield is surely showing his mettle with the ball. Anzar’s youthfulness and energy is almost the same as Bangaldesh’s Mustafizur Rehman or Pakistan’s Mohamad Amir who all are young fast bowlers. Fresh from 6/17 in the 1st match he played against St. Joseph, this time his team Anjuman Islam clashed against Abhinav Vidya Mandir Borivali at the Oval Maidan where in Anjumam Islam won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Anjuman Islam scored 259 in 45 overs where in opener Devraj Rangu scored a fantastic 90 while Yusuf Wadiwala at the middle order scored a crucial 55. The bowlers did a decent job with everyone picking up a wicket or two.

Chasing 260 in 45 overs in never an easy task and Abhinav Vidya Mandir were hardly aware about the havoc which Anzar was about to bring as he went on to rip the entire batting line up of the opposition with terrific bowling figures of 6/8 in 10.1 overs and 4 maidens. The zone which Anzar is in and the line and length at which he is bowling is really impressive for his age as Abhnav Vidya Mandir were all out for just 72runs helping his team win the match again by a big margin of 187runs. Cricketgraph congratulates the young prodigy Anzar while wishes all the boys luck for a great season ahead.
