Played at the Elphinstone CC, Azad Maidan between Parsee Cyclists and Shantibhai SM CC, Shnatibhai CC won the toss and elected to bowl first expecting the pitch to have more support for the bowlers and restrict Parsee Cyclists to a low total.

However, the two talented openers of Parsee Cyclists were in a different zone altogether as they both stitched a great opening stand of 180+ and that too in quick time. Left-handed Prasad Patil went on to score an unbeaten 100* off just 93deliveries. Prasad who smashed 8fours toiled hard between the wickets as he did excellent running between the wickets as he only scored 32runs in boundaries. From the other end, his opening partner Shaheen Mistry also played a silken knock of 73 off just 77balls(5fours, 3sixes). Shaheen who played some great cricketing shots had to retire hurt on 73 or else even he was looking good for a classy hundred to end the tournament in style. From the bowling side, all the bowlers went wicketless as Parsee Cyclists declared their innings on 212/0 in 31 overs.

Shantibhai CC openers batted for 41.4 overs as they were restricted to 84/8 by the Parsee Cyclists bowlers before the end of the game’s play where in Yogesh patil with 3/22 remained the pick of the bowlers while Hitesh and Mayur took 2wkts each. Parsee Cyclists fell just 2wkts short of a commanding win but eventually the match ended in a draw. It was a great match where in Prasad and Shaheen impressed one and all with their batting. Cricketgraph congratulates both the batsman while wishes luck to all the players for a great cricketing season ahead.
