Nishit Balla, Atif Khan and Riday Khandke steer National Centre to finals of MCA U19 Naren Tamhane Tournament’22

Played at MCA SRT Ground in Kandivali, Matunga Gymkhana after being put to bat first posted a total of 219/10 in 43.5 overs. Prem Naik at no.5 was the highest scorer with 41 runs while a few of their batters chipped in with 30’s. From the bowlers, left arm spinner, Nishit Balla who has been consistent in this tournament continued to lend an impact this time with a brilliant haul of 5 wkts. Nishit returned with bowling figures of 5/32 in 9 overs being the pick of the lot for National CC.

National CC in reply chased down the score with ease crossing the victory line in 41st over and winning the semi finals by 5 wkts. Opener Riday Khandke who also bagged one wicket with the ball gave a good start with his knock of 44 runs off 73 balls (4 fours) while Atif Khan at no.3 top scored with 56 runs off 65 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes) to anchor National CC’S chase. Atif also bagged 2wkts with the ball making it a complete all round performance. Harsh Aghav at no.5 remained unbeaten on 38* off 32 balls playing the finishers role for National CC.
