Neelkanth Parab’s 79 & tight bowling by Moondeep & Akshay deflates Yogi CC in the C Div Kanga League’19
John Bright CC after being put to bat first at Venus Ground, Malad were not of to the best of the starts with half of the batting line up back to the pavilion at 105 odd runs however it was Neelkanth at no.6 who changed the game with his brilliant knock of 79 runs in mere 60 balls (8 fours, 4 sixes). Not only did Neelkanth took very less time to settle hitting the lose deliveries out of the park, he was also able to push the team total to a very respectable score of 219/10 in 40.2 overs.
Yogi CC in reply were bundled out for 90 runs thanks to some tight bowling by the experienced Akhshay Girap (4/43) and Moondeep Mangela (3/14 in 9 overs with 6 maidens) as both the bowlers handed over their team a win on 1st innings lead while Neelkanth saved the game with his excellent knock at the middle order.
