Opener Gaurav Payyade smashes an impressive 75 for Canara Vijay CC in the G Div League’19
Canara Vijay CC after being put to bat first registered a competitive total of 194/9 dec in 56.2 overs. Even though it was a little sluggish start with a few quick wickets being lost, it was their opener Gaurav Payyade batting for close to 4.5 hours anchoring his side with a solid knock of 75 runs in 184 balls (7 fours). Gaurav led from the front as a skipper ensuring his team reached a decent 1st innings total. Apart from Gaurav, Harshal Bari (29) and Piyush Sharma (23*) chipped in with handy cameos down the order. From the bowlers, fast bowler Kaiwalya Patil with 4/46 in 14.2 overs was the pick of the lot.
Sportsmen CC Vasai on the other hand batted for 15 overs for the loss of 4 wkts at the end of the game’s play where the match ended in a draw.
