Played at the United Cricketers Ground, Cross Maidan in Mumbai, it was a match between two experienced teams namely Sainath Sports Club and United Cricketers where in Sainath SC won the toss and elected to field first as most of the teams have been doing this season.
Their decision to bowl first was as good as Dhoni’s calculation behind the stumps! as United Cricketers were bundled out for just 45/10 in 20.2 overs. Not a single batsman managed to create an impact today while opener Shriraj was the top scorer with 18runs. The bowlers did a fantastic job as almost every bowler chipped in with a wicket or two while quickie Virat Mishra was the pick of the bowlers with 3/14 in 6 overs.
In reply, the powerful batting side of Sainath SC showed their batting prowess and showed their intent that they want to win the match and not just end in a draw as they declared at 140/20 in just 20 overs. Opener Manager Gupta was blazing from all cylinders as he went on to score an unbeaten 100* off just 72balls making it one of the fastest tons of this years Kanga after Jayant Sathghare’s 49ball ton. In the 2nd innings, United cricketers were again all-out for 38 runs in 22.1 overs where in Bharat Patil impressed one and all with 4/18 in 6 overs.
Sainath SC dominated in this match and won the match on 1st innings while Manager Gupta’s enterprising ton was the highlight of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes luck to both the teams for their upcoming matches.
