Kundu’s ton alonwith tight bowling by Mann & Manas puts Anjuman Islam on the frontfoot in Giles Shield’19

Anjuman Islam after being put to bat first at Azad Maidan’s Parsee Cyclists wicket posted a total of 275/9 in 45 overs. Opener Abhigyan Kondu who came fresh from a very quick 175 in the Little Champs tournament smashed a brilliant 106 runs to anchor his team towards a respectable total. Apart from him, Sujit Dalvi and Nikhil Bhagat chipped in with 30’s. From the bowlers, Roshan Gupta with 3/71 was the pick of the lot.

Defending a total of 275, Oxford Public School were all out for 63 runs in 33.4 overs. Mumbai U14 Probables this year Mann Bhanushali bowled a tight spell of 3/30 in 15 overs which included 6 maidens. Mann in his previous game also bowled just a single over where he came up with two wickets for his school.

Manas Mukadam on the other hand was the pick of the bowlers for Anjuman as he bagged 4/6 in 9.5 overs including 6 maidens as both these bowlers made life difficult for the Oxford School players.

Anjuman Islam School won the match by a margin of 212 runs.
