Jai Hind College emerge as Inter College Champions’21

H.R. College winning the toss elected to bat first, Jai Hind started off very well sending back half of Hr’s batting line up for 47, thereafter H.R. skipper Raahib Fatehi carried the inning and at one stage it looked like H.R. would cross 130, but the Jai Hind College captain Kush Attawala and medium pacer Vedaant Mashruwala took charge at the death restricting H.R. to 110. For Jai Hind Dev Jhaveri was the pick off the bowlers getting 3-19(4) followed by Kush Attawala 2-15(4) and Vedaant 2-20(3). Hr’s only notable score was Raahib’s 35(43).

Chasing 111 off 20 overs would’ve seemed an easy task with Jai Hinds top 3 in solid form but Hr College’s Medhansh Shah’s spell 2-10(4) had Jai Hind reeling at 24-3 after 7 overs. Jai Hind may have lost hopes but No. 5 & 6 batsmen Jash Modi 24(32)* and Bhavya Shah 32(24)* had other plans, they pulled off a 57 runs partnership under pressure in a crucial final taking Jai Hind over the line with an over to spare.
