Half centurion Anand helps HDFC Bank beat Indusind Bank in Woods T20 Corporate match

On 9th  April, Indusind Bank put up a respectable 145-7 in 20 overs against HDFC Bank at Venus Sports Academy, Mumbai, during the Woods T20 Bowled Out Corporate Cricket Tournament. Coming in at no.3, Kailash played a special knock scoring 62 runs off just 45 balls. There were some contributions in the middle order by Sagar (32 runs off 22 balls) and Bipin (22 not out off 22 balls) which helped Indusind to cross the 140-run mark. Santosh was the pick of the bowlers accounting for 3-22 in his three overs.

In reply, HDFC just thrashed Indusind to chase down the target in mere 15.1 overs, winning the match comprehensively by nine wickets. The top three batsmen contributed to their team’s run chase. Openers Sachin (40 runs off 27 balls) and Anand (60 not out off 42 balls) provided a solid start to HDFC’s batting. Anand was spectacular with the bat and was striking the ball at a towering rate of close to 150. He did not let loose once he achieved the half century milestone. Instead he focused on playing through till his team reached the finishing line. Amar (21 not out off 20 balls) was the other batsman who chipped in for HDFC. Yogesh was the only wicket-taker for Indusind.

Anand (1-23 in 4 overs and 60 not out off 42 balls) was awarded with the Man of the Match prize for his scintillating all-round performance.
