Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I rout Thane eagle Infra by 19 runs in Thane Premier League

On Thursday, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I beat Thane Eagle Infra by 19 runs at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium in the Thane Premier League. 

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I put forth a challenging total of 160/7 in their full quota of 20 overs. Opening batter Japjeet Randhawa starred with a 33-ball 47, that included four fours and two sixes. Later, Rugved More (32; 30b, 4×2, 6×1), Vinayak Bhoir (39; 26b, 4×2, 6×2), and Shashi Kadam (22; 19b, 4×3) chipped in with useful contributions with the bat in the middle order. For Thane Eagle Infra, right arm speedster Anish Rai wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 4/24 in four overs. Rai, who opened the bowling, struck on the very first ball of the match, giving the perfect start to his team.

Chasing 161 for a win, Thane Eagle Infra managed to score 141/8 in 20 overs. They fell short of 19 runs in the end. Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I bowled well to restrict Thane Eagle Infra. Kadam, who dazzled with the bat early in the day, impressed with the ball, as he claimed 3/18 in four overs. He found able allies in Nipun Panchal (2/21), Harshal Soni (1/34), and Bhoir (1/31). With the bat, it was Ravi Vishwakarma leading the run chase from the front with a 40-ball 39, peppering the boundary rope on four occasions.
