DTDC Sports Club beat Automotive Cricket Club by 67 runs in Times Shield’22
On April 27, DTDC Sports Club and Automotive Cricket Club clashed against each other in the ‘C’ Division Times Shield match at Matunga in Mumbai. DTDC Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, DTDC Sports Club put together a competitive score of 7-236 in 40 overs. Opening batter Siddharth Ghule and number three batter Satvalaksh Jain muscled delectable half-centuries. While Ghule top scored with 87 runs off 91 balls, Jain contributed with 69 runs off 85 balls. On the other hand, Automotive Cricket Club’s Darshan Mangukiya and Akash Kharvi claimed three wickets apiece.
In reply, Automotive Cricket Club were bowled out for 169 in 34.2 overs with Dashrath Chavan top scoring with 35 runs off 53 balls. Rugved More (26 runs off 29 balls) and Aditya Shemadkar (27 runs off 23 balls) too played their parts. On the other hand, DTDC Sports Club’s Rajesh Gorde wreaked havoc with the ball. Gorde scalped 5-22 in eight overs, bowling left arm spin.
