Devesh, Shlok & Siddarth seal the game for Salgaonkar Cricket Academy in the Kalyan Premier League

It was an intense match at Santosh Sports Cricket Ground between Salgaonkar Cricket Academy vs Om Sai Cricket Club. Salgaonkar Cricket club who have a strong batting line up elected to bowl first after winning the toss and put Om Sai club under pressure.

Batting first, Om Sai Cricket Club were all out for just 121 in 26.1 overs. Hardly anyone fired apart from their opener Sarthak Hawre who scored more than half to the team runs. Sarthak scored a well fought 61 ball 61 but did not get any support from the other side. Siddarth Halde bowled a mesmerizing spell taking 4/3 in 2 overs followed by 4/15 by Pranav Sankpal.

Chasing 122, Salgaonkar Cricket Club finished the game in splendid style as they chased the score in mere 15 overs. Openers Shlok Shinde and Devesh Mahadik gave a scintillating start scoring 44(36) and 52(35) respectively. Both the batsman counter attacked the bowlers and almost finished the chase single handedly. Devesh looked quite confident and it looked like he would remain unbeaten till the end before he was out in Soham banker’s bowling at 52.

Eventually, Salgaonkar Cricket Academy won the match by 7 wkts and many overs to spare. Openers Shlok and Devesh along with their bowler Siddharth were adjudged ‘man of the match’ combined for their brilliant individual performances.
