It was a match to remember between Akumentis and Voltas at the Dadoji konddev Stadium in Thane. Akumentis who are known to chase elected to field first with an aim of putting Voltas under pressure.

Team Voltas were bundled out for just 111 runs in 28. Overs. It was a great bowling effort from Akumentis which made them restrict to a low total. Ashish More was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/6 in 5 overs followed by 2 wickets each to Siddhesh Desai and Rahul Ghodke. Right arm spin bowler Raju Shamla also chipped in with bowling figures of 1/18 in 6.3 overs. Akumentis bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals and that completely dismantled the Voltas batting line up.

Chasing 112 is not a big deal for most of the teams and especially for teams who have a healthy batting line up in their arsenal. All-rounder Raju Shamla contributed with the bat too as he opened the innings and scored 54* coming off 63 balls. Raju played intelligent cricket and helped his team finish the chase in just 20 overs.

Akumentis finished their chase at 114/2 in 20.1overs & won the match by 8 wickets and 15 overs to spare. All-rounder Raju Shamla was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his all round performance. We at Cricketgraph certainly wish Raju and his whole team carry forward the good momentum and go on to win the tournament.
