The 12-year old Shaurya Pandit told CricketGraph, “This was the first match of the tournament and taking those two points was very essential. As a captain, I motivated my team and asked them to play fearless cricket and not take any kind of pressure. It was important for me to lead from the front. The wicket on which we played was wet. It was difficult to bat. But once I went past 30 I was more confident. On the other hand, the conditions for bowling were favourable. I enjoyed bowling on that surface.”

At the end of the tournament, Pandit won the best batsman, best bowler and player of the tournament award.
