Batting First Continues to Be the Winning Formula in Thane Premier League
Day 3 of the Thane Premier League 2026 kept the momentum going with another pair of one-sided contests at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium, where teams batting first once again took control and didn’t let it slip.
Thane Warrior CA dominate with bat and ball
In the first match of the day, Thane Warrior Cricket Academy faced Benetton Club and made their intent clear right after winning the toss and choosing to bat.
They posted a commanding 224/4, built around a standout innings from Rudra Dhanday, who anchored and accelerated the innings brilliantly with 112 off 55 balls, including 14 fours and 5 sixes. It was the kind of knock that completely shifted the game in their favor.
Defending the total, Thane Warrior CA stayed in control throughout. Arpan Das led the bowling effort with an impressive 4-wicket spell, ensuring Benetton Club never got close to the target. They were eventually bowled out for 143, handing Thane Warrior CA a convincing 81-run victory.

With impact in both momentum and scoreboard pressure, Rudra Dhanday was named Man of the Match.
FT XI mirror the script with another commanding win
The second match followed a very similar pattern. SKCAS opted to field first after winning the toss, but FT XI made them rethink that decision quickly.
Batting first, FT XI put up a strong 228/5, with Anil Ronanki leading the charge through a powerful 85 off 45 balls, striking 7 fours and 6 sixes. His innings gave FT XI the edge early and allowed the rest of the lineup to build around it.
In response, SKCAS struggled to maintain the required rate and kept losing wickets at key moments. They finished on 163/9, well short of the target.
The bowling highlight came from Vinay Kumar, who picked up 4 wickets in his spell, breaking any chance of a comeback and keeping the pressure firmly on the opposition.

FT XI wrapped up the match with a 65-run win, with Anil Ronanki earning the Man of the Match award for his crucial innings.
