SVIS Boy Ayush Jethwa & Rizvi’s Mayank Teotia steer their teams into the finals of the Khichadiya Khar Tournament’19

Played between SVIS Borivali and IES New English School at the Cross Maidan Ground, IES batting first managed to score 177/9 in 45 overs. All-rounder Ayush Jethwa with 5/34 in 14 overs was the pick of the bowlers as he time and again continues to impress both with the ball as well as with the bat.

Despite some early setbacks to SVIS, they chased down the score successfully as Ayush Jethwa anchored the chase with a 60* off 90 balls while Aryan Badhe scored 40* off 32 balls as SVIS won the semi finals by 6 wkts and 6.1 overs to spare.

Rizvi vs Parle Tilak Vidya Mandir

Rizvi after electing to bat first at the Khar Gymkhana Ground made a very healthy total of 319/5 in 45 overs. Rizvi’s star batters-Opener Abhinav Singh and middle order bat Mayank Teotia made merry of the bowlers showing supreme domination. Abhinav Singh scored a solid 75 while Prajwal Sai at no.4 smashed a very impressive 92 off 70 balls. The game changer for Rizvi was certainly Mayank Teotia at no.5 who went on to score a blazing 109 off mere 56 balls. Mayank who batted a strike rate of 190+ smashed 13 fours and 4 sixes to take Rizvi to a strong position.

PTVS in reply managed to score only 208/4 in 45 overs. Ayan Pathan opening the innings scored a hard fought 121 off 141 balls (15 fours, 2sixes) but Parle Tilak Vidyalaya batsman failed to up the tempo as Rizvi won the match by 111 runs.
