The first edition of Mumbai’s own cricket awards by Nataraj Pens was conducted last year in March 2018, which received a positive response from the various quarters of Mumbai. These award was founded with a view to acknowledge, applaud and appreciate the upcoming cricketing talent which usually goes unnoticed at grass roots level. Nataraj Pens continues to supports this novel initiative for second consecutive year.
The thundering response from the cricketing community to appreciate the players from the grassroot level has helped cricketgraph to come up with the 2nd Edition of “Mumbai’s Own Cricket Awards” by Nataraj Pens which will be held on 20th February at Vile Parle from 6:00 pm. Similar to last year, there will be 6 categories with awards being given to Top 3 Batsman, Top 3 Bowlers & Most Popular player in each of these 6 categories. Performances from October 2018 till Jan 2019 will be considered for these awards.
The Jury consists of Nepal National Team’s Batting Consultant, Batting Consultant of Afghanistan and also the Head of the Panel Umesh Patwal, Sangeeta Kamat who is the Selector of Sr.Women’s Mumbai Cricket Association & Ajay Kadam who is a former MCA Selector and BCCI Level 1 Coach.
Apart from Nataraj Pens, various other known brands have partnered on this initiative, with some of the brands being HM Sports as official cricket bat partner, Kimati Sports as Official Cricket Ball Partner, Aarkay Sports as official Tshirt Partner, Forma Helmets as official cricket helmet partner, MAHI sports as official cricket gloves partner & Ironwood Sports Management Global Academy, as Sports management educational partner & Trophy Gallery as the official Trophy Partner. Through these partnerships, winners of these awards would receive Nataraj Pens Trophies, Certificates, English Willow Bats, Cricket balls, Helmets and Tshirts.
