Make way for ‘SURYA’ as he scores yet another blistering hundred: 136 off 73balls
There are players & then there is Suryansh Shedge, that’s the level & classification he has achieved over the past 1.5-2 years as he has emerged to be one of the most rising talents from Mumbai in the cricketing circles. One such example of his recent exploits was against the Olympia Sports team in the Lashkaria Little Champs league where he went on to score one of the fastest hundreds of the tournament at the Karnataka Cricket Association(KCA Ground) in Mumbai.
Sanjeevani Cricket Academy won the toss & elected to bat first to put Olympia sports under pressure & post a big total on the board. Their decision to bat first turned out to be beneficial as they managed to score a mammoth 268/3 in 30 overs which is a very good score to defend. Once again the star of the innings was their local hero Suryansh Shedge who scored 136 off 73balls to up the stakes for his team. Right handed Suryansh who came in at no.4 went on to reach his hundred in just 53balls while his 136 came off mere 73 playing at a strike of almost 190+. Surya also smashed 17 boundaries & 2sixes & was finally relieved that he could convert his starts into a big one after a string of few matches where he said he was not able to convert his good starts into big knocks. Anurag Nair also played very well scoring 72 off just 74balls thus helping their team reach a more than respectable target of 269 in 30 overs to defend. Gnyanshankar Singh was the pick of the bowlers from Olympia taking 2/28 followed by a wicket for Aryan Joshi.
Chasing 269 at almost 9 runs per over is a very daunting task & Olympia Sports could not manage to chase it down successfully as they managed to score just 126/11 in their 30 overs. Shashwat Jhunjhunwala(27 off 44) was the highest scorer and the only one who managed to cross the 20runs mark. The bowlers did a good job with Ayush Zimare, Aryan Desai & Shubham kharat taking 2wkts each while also containing the batsman at the same time as none of them leaked more 3.5runs per over in their bowling spells.
Sanjeevani Cricket Academy won the match by 142 runs & champ of the match was surely Suryansh Shedge for obvious reasons. The Sanjeevani bowlers also did a commendable job. Cricketgraph congratulates Suryansh for his hundred & also wishes him to continue his good form in the long run while also wishes the entire team to keep playing good cricket.
