Centurion Aarya Chowkidar powers National Cricket Club to a win in MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament’22
On April 1, National Cricket Club and Bharat Cricket Club locked horns against each other during the MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament. National Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Riding on Aarya Chowkidar’s delectable century, National Cricket Club posted 224 in 35.1 overs. Chowkidar came in to bat at number four after his team lost quick wickets. Bharat Cricket Club’s Varun Malik wreaked havoc with the ball as he sent National Cricket Club’s top order packing in no time. Malik was the pick of the bowlers accounting for 6-26 in seven overs. However, Chowkidar took the attack to the opposition. He put his head down and bailed National Cricket Club out. In his innings of 114 that came off 90 balls, Chowkidar hammered 15 boundaries and three sixes.
In reply, Bharat Cricket Club could only manage to score 97 as they were bowled out in 22.4 overs. The opening batting Yash Samgiskar top scored with 30 runs off 35 balls. Samgiskar kept losing partners at regular intervals. On the other hand, National Cricket Club’s Gaurav Kumar was the top wicket-taker, thanks to his 5-22 in 7.4 overs. Kumar rattled the opposition batting line-up in a jiffy, thanks to his disciplined bowling effort.
National Cricket Club beat Bharat Cricket Club by 127 runs during the MCA U19 Mangrol Cricket Tournament.
