50’s by Ambar and Kartike & Vishal’s fifer steers Modern CC to a win the Thosar Shield’22

Played at Central Maidan in Mumbai, Modern CC opting to bat first posted a total of 241/6 in 40 overs. Opener Ahmbar Karte top scored in the match scoring 81 runs off 65 balls smashing 7 fours and 6 sixes. Middle order batsman, Kartike Savla who came at no.5 also smashed a half century scoring 55 off 62 balls which included 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Defending a total of 241, Sunrise Sports Club were restricted to 109 runs all out courtesy a match winning bowling spell by Vishal Yadav who took 5/30 in 8 overs. Spinner Vishal provided timely breakthroughs not allowing the opposition team to settle down as Modern Cricket Club won the match by 132 runs.
