Young Stars Marine Drive skipper Rohan Sadarjoshi shines in a thriller of a match vs MV Sports Club in the Kanga League ‘17

Held at the Mahim Juvenile SC at Shivaji Park in Dadar, it was a match between MV Sports Club and Young Stars Marine Drive where in Young Stars won the toss and elected to bowl first hoping that the pitch may have something for the bowlers.

Batting first, MV Sports Club were all out for just 160/10 in 38.5 where in Zamir Ali and Naveen Patil top scored with 30’s. Skipper Rohan Sadarjoshi was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/57 in 18.5 overs. Fast bowler Rohan has been in excellent form throughout the season as he has been amongst the wickets in almost every match he has played. Bharat Major and Sandeep Ingle also bowled well taking 3 and 2wkts each.

The match remained neck to neck till the end till the very last ball. The top order of Young Stars failed but it was their middle order bat Parag Patil and captain Rohan who scored 40 and 42 each to bring their team back into the game. Both the batsman stitched a match winning partnership and resurrected the innings back to keep the hopes alive of winning. Eventually six runs were needed of the last delivery where in Akash Nair became the hero by hitting a winning six to the stands taking his team to a win! It was a neck to neck match where in both the teams fought well but eventually Young Stars Marine Drive won the match where in Skipper Rohan’s all round contribution played a big role in it.
