Yadnesh’s all-round show steers Antonia Da Silva school to a win while Khush continues to impress with a 7wkt haul in Giles Shield ‘17

Played at the Youth’s own Union, Cross Maidan, it was a match between two promising teams namely Antonio Da Silva High school and Gokuldham high school where in Dr. Antonio da Silva school won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, they scored 176/9 in 45 overs as most of the batsman failed to convert their starts. Left- handed Vansh Murgesh looked really solid as he scored a really promising 51 while the rest of the batsman were struggling from the other end. All-rounder Yadnesh Jadhav also batted well as he contributed with crucial 41runs of just 35balls to take their team total to atleast 176/9. The bowlers did a good job but it was mainly this talented boy Khush who has been a revelation in this tournament. Khush continued his all-round form as he fought like a sole warrior taking 7/49 in 21 overs. Antonio boys at one stage had an opening stand of 74 and were really looking good but it was Khush who did the maximum damage with the ball as his tight bowling restricted them to just 176/9.

However, Antonio boys staged a brilliant fightback with the ball as they bundled out the promising Gokuldham boys to just 88runs all out. Yadnesh Jadhav impressed with the ball too as he came up with impressive bowling figures of 4/20 with his right arm off break. Dr.Antonio da silva high school won the match in a commanding manner and it was definitely all-rounder Yadnesh who played a big role along with Vansh for this win. It will also be noteworthy to state that Khush is really looking impressive for his age. With 18wkts and 200runs so far in just 4matches just goes on to prove how big a future prospect he can be!
