Vishal Pendurkar’s all-round show helps GBSC win against SKN sports club in the DGRS Champions Cup 2017

Held at the Aarey Bhaskar Ground in Goregaon, Goregaon Boys Sports Club entered in a crucial clash with SKN sports club where in GBSC won the toss & elected to bat first since the wicket was good to bat on.

Batting first, GBSC managed to score 158/9 in 20 overs which is a good score to defend on any part of the day. Opener Mukund Sangli scored a quikfire 48 off 26 though they lost a few quick wickets in between. All-rounder Vishal Pendurkar also chipped in with a 39 off 27 which further boosted their team total. Sanket Vaidya & Renish Panicker bowled well coming up with bowling figures of 3/36 & 2/39 respectively.

Chasing 159 at almost 8 runs per over, the pressure of chasing proved to be a tough task as they managed to reach only 146/9 in 20overs. All-rounder Vishal bowled a great spell of 3/20 including 1 maiden in his 4 overs with his medium pace followed by 2wkts for Swapnil Sawant.
