Ved and Shon Whip Vibgyor Bowler’s For Fun As IES Bowls Them Out For 28

IES VN Sule English School Dadar obliterated Vibgyor High School, Goregaon in the ongoing Mumbai Indians Junior Under 14 Inter School Cricket Tournament. The 3rd edition of the tournament gave numerous performances but this game would be one of the most dominating displays by a team.

Batting first, IES amassed a total of 309 in 40 overs. For IES, opener Ved Tendulkar gave a flying start to his team and went on to score an unbeaten 135 in 117 balls. As two quick wickets fell in front of him, he was joined by Shon Korgaonkar who dismantled by bowling attacked by thrashing the Vibgyor bowlers. Shon faced 104 and scored 145*. Together they put up a partnership of 283 runs. Ved hit 20 boundaries in his innings while Shon hit 19, including a six. Needless to say Vibgyor’s bowling was subpar as both dismissal were run outs.

If the first innings was a shock, the second innings was humiliating for Vibgyor. In under 18 overs, Vibgyor were bowled out for an embarrassing 28 as no batsman scored past 10 runs and 6 of them dismissed for ducks. Captain Shaurya Rai led from front as he bowled an unreal spell of 3.4 overs claiming 4 wickets and not even conceding a run with 3 maidens to his name. Rehan Mulani picked up 2 as Aarav and Shlok claimed a wicket each.

Ultimately IES won the game by a massive margin of 281 runs.
