Updates of Inter Corporate Cricket Tournament 2019 organized by Sahara Foundation Mumbai

Rohan Bhosale’s huge 132 off just 55 powered Mumbai Police B to a 170 runs big victory against Navj Mumbai Police in a round match of the Inter Corporation Cricket Tournament 2019 (ESTD.1979), organized by Sahara Foundation and played at the Cross Maidan, Churchgate, Mumbai on Tuesday. This tournament is possible mainly because of Mr. Hayat J.Khan (President), Mr.Arvind V.Karam (Secretary) and Mr.Donwalkar (Treasurer). And 22 individual corporate teams are participating this time.

After the toss, Mumbai Police B had made massive 220 for 4 in 20 overs. They didn’t face any difficulty in negotiating the rival bowling attack and scored runs freely and they amassed a huge total, and they also produced a 82 run partnership for the first wicket. While, the death overs were bit difficult for the them, as they lost 2 for just 3 runs.

Navi Mumbai Police’s Rahul batted in scoring 17 runs but unfortunately received no support from the other batters. Yogesh and Kailash struck thrice as the Navi Mumbai Police collapsed from 19 for 2 to 50 for 8 in pursuit of 221 in 20 overs. Sudhakar also took 2 wickets in a same over.

Rohan Bhosale of Mumbai Police B won the ‘Man-of-the-Match’ title. He smashed unbelievable 132 off just 55 balls, including thirteen fours and eight sixes. This performance was full of energy and strong dedication.

“We won the toss and decided to bat first. It was a good wicket to bat. Start was good for us and the first wicket partnership was quite appreciable. We were trying to score around 250. But, during the death overs, we lost 2 wickets. And we ended up at 220. In reply, we were continuously taking the wickets from the start. It was one of the best strategy to defend and it went well for our team. After the first wicket, Jayesh was giving me a good company. At the same day, Mayur Sapan’s solid 56* off 45 powered Mumbai Police A to a 28 run victory against HPCL in a round match of same tournament. Put in to bat first, Mumbai Police A had made just 147 for 6 in 20 overs. Bhusan Patil was the best pick of the HPCL. In reply, HPCL were at 119 for 6 after 20th over. Mumbai Police A won the match by 28 runs because of Mayur performance. He also won the ‘Man of the Match’ title.
