Toyota drives away Indusind Bank; wins by 114 runs
Riding on blistering half centuries by two middle order batsmen, Toyota posted a daunting target of 209-7 in 20 overs. Pankaj Jaiswal (64 off 31) and Chinmay Madaye (50 off 24) smashed Indusind bowlers all around the park, hitting a total of 11 boundaries and eight sixes between them.
Jaiswal and Madaye took the game away from the opposition thanks to their powerful strokeplay. In addition to their strong hitting, Pankaj and Chinmay ran well between the wickets, keeping the Indusind fielders on their toes. Apart from Jitendra Yadav (2-22 in four overs), Indusind bowlers had an off day at office and went for far too many runs. Bruised and wounded in the first innings, it was the pay back for Indusind. However, the batting did not click and they lost wickets at regular intervals. Shining with the ball, Jitendra Yadav made the highest contribution with the bat. Yadav managed to score 31 off 32, which included four boundaries and a six. Jaishal Wadiyal and Lalit Holebadi were the pick of the bowlers for Toyota, driving their team to a comprehensive win by 114 runs.
Wadiyal and Holebadi grabbed three wickets each and received good support from Rahil Shaikh, Dilesh Devrukhkar, and Akram Shaikh. Pankaj Jaiswal bagged the Man of the Match for his stupendous performance with the bat. “It was a good wicket to bat on, and right from the start I was middling the ball really well. I hope to perform in the similar fashion going ahead in the tournament”, expressed Jaiswal.
