Ton Maker Bhupen Lalvani Stands Out In U-25 Shatkar Trophy As Lad’s Spell Aids MCA B

The 50 over selection tournament for the Mumbai U-25 squad had enthralling encounters. In the four selected teams, there were 5 fifties scored but only one century. Bhupen Lalwani from MCA D scored a brilliant 114 and was the only batsmen to do so. Raj Waghela, Siddharth Akre, Pragnesh Kanpillewar, Harshal Jadhav and Sahil Jadhav were the other 5 batsmen who scored half centuries. Although Bhupen’s ton was in a losing cause, he has certainly made his case for the Mumbai U-25 team in the first game itself.

Anjdeep Lad’s exceptional spell of 4/27 ensured a close victory for MCA B against MCA A. He was well supported by Harsh Tanna (3/50). In the same game, Shreyas Gurav had 4 scalps to his name.
