Tare’s 125 steers Indian Oil to a win while Sunil’s 135 goes in vain in MCA Corporate Trophy’22
Played at the picturesque MIG Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Indian Oil Sports Club batting first scored a total of 398/9 in 75 overs. Opening the innings, youngster Arjun Dani scored an matured innings scoring 98 off 148 balls. Arjun hit 10 fours and a six while stitched a big partnership with veteran Aditya Tare who smashed an aggressive 125 off 111 balls which included 18 fours and a six. From the bowlers, Pankaj Pardeshi with 3/118 was the pick of the lot while Yogesh Shinde with 2/51 in 10 overs was the most economical of the lot. Amol Tanpure also bagged 2 wkts in his spell of 13 overs.
Gr.Mumbai Police Sports Club A gave a tough fight batting out all the 75 overs vs a formidable line up of Indian Oil scoring 328/9 in 75 overs. Mumbai Police’s most reliable and consistent top order batsman Sunil Patil once again came in good with the bat top scoring in the match with 135 runs off 146 balls smashing 16 fours and 7 sixes. Swapnil Kulaye (52 runs) and Mansingh Chavan (44 runs) at the middle order also chipped in with contributions. All-Rounder Yogesh Shinde who had bagged 2wkts with the ball also showed skills with the bat scoring an unbeaten 42* off 50 balls.
Result: Indian Oil Sports Club won the match by 67 runs
