Suryakumar Yadav (82*) & Eknath Kerkar (41) seal a win for BPCL in the DY Patil ‘T20 Cup ‘19

BPCL after being made to bat first at the DY Patil Stadium were off to a shaky start with both their openers losing their wickets before the end of the 1st powerplay. However, Eknath Kerkar who scored 41 off 32 steadied the ship with Mumbai Indians opener Suryakumar Yadav stitching a crucial 95 run stand to bring the momentum back into BPCL’s favor. Surya coming at no.4 scored 82* off 56 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes as BPCL reached a good total of 158/3 in 20 overs.

Western Railway who were off to a good start with Asad Pathan and Mrunal Deodhar putting up 71 runs in the 1st 6 overs were not able to convert their good start into a successful chase as the middle order batsman failed to convert their scores into something substantial.

Western Railway were 144/all out with Dhaval Kulkarni bowling a brilliant spell of 3/27 in 4 overs as BPCL clinched a win by 14 runs.
