Played between U19 Bengal Club and U19 Sainath Club Virar at the Youth’s own union cc, Cross Maidan. Bengal Club who have a strong batting line up elected to bat first on the back of their good batting line and up and post a decent total to defend.
Bengal Club batting first were all out for 209/10 in 44.5 overs and even that was possible because of their top order as they virtually suffered a collapse after the top 3. Two really talented players Aarya Satpure and Tasyam Chavan openin the innings gave a solid start with a 97run stand where they both scored 44 each while Manal Kawle who came at no.3 scored a very solid half century. Manal was dominating and aggressive counter attacking the bowlers with his 49ball 50 which had 4fours and a six. From the bowlers, medium pacer Jollwin Gonsalves and off-spinner Ruthik Rathod were the pick of the bowlers taking 4wkts each.
Defending a moderate total of 210, Sainath Virar were bundled out for 90runs all out as left arm spinner Varun Joijode came up with a match winning bowling spell of 5/14 in 8overs with 4maidens.
