Rugved More guides New Hind to a win In U25 John Bright T20 Tournament’22

On May 16, New Hind Sports Club locked horns against Bharat Cricket Club in Kandivali, Mumbai during the U25 John Bright T20 Tournament. New Hind Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first, New Hind Sports Club posted 153 runs in 19 overs before they were bowled out inside 20 overs. Opening batter Rugved More starred with the bat as he muscled 63 runs off 45 balls. More’s innings was embellished with 10 boundaries. Apart from him, Karan Shah (24) and Harshal Jadhav (32) were the other top contributors with the bat. On the other hand, Bharat Cricket Club’s Ajinkya Pawar was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3-26 in four overs.

In reply, Bharat Cricket Club were bundled out for 111 in 15.5 overs, falling short of 42 runs. Rahul Magade led the run chase from the front with a 24-ball 41 however did not find able allies. On the other hand, New Hind Sports Club’s bowlers had a good outing as they derailed the run chase. Yogesh Dongre and Viraj Jadhav were the wreckers-in-chief as they claimed three wickets apiece. 

New Hind Sports Club’s Rugved More powered his team to a 42-run win over Bharat Cricket Club in U25 John Bright T20 Tournament.

Cricket is a sport that Juili picked up right from her childhood days. Her journey from playing with the boys in the compound walls to practising under the able aegis of Jonty Rhodes has been a spectacular one.
She was a part of Mumbai Women’s U-19 and U-23 probables during her four-year stint at the MCA. As a middle order bat and a part time medium pace bowler, she also represented Mumbai University at All-India University Women’s Cricket for two years.

In the quest of further education, she discontinued with the sport. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D in Finance from IIT Bombay’s School of Management.
