Royal Cricket Club beat Daiwadnya Cricket Club by 277 runs in Kanga Knock Out Tournament’22
On April 24, Royal Cricket Club locked horns against Daiwadnya Cricket Club at Matunga Gymkhana in Mumbai during the Kanga Knock Out Tournament. Royal Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat.
Riding on twin centuries from Bhawesh Pawar and Suyash Ghegade, Royal Cricket Club posted a humongous score of 8-398 in 45 overs. While Pawar top scored with 132 runs off 110 balls, Ghegade muscled 110 runs off 61 balls. Pawar’s innings was laced with 15 boundaries and a six while Ghegade smashed seven boundaries and six sixes. On the other hand, for Daiwadnya Cricket Club, Vijay Patil was the pick of the bowlers. Patil struck with 3-66 in nine overs, bowling off spin.
In reply, Daiwadnya Cricket Club were bowled out for 121 in 23 overs. Mandar Garude wreaked havoc with the ball as he scalped 5-45 in seven overs. Early in the day, Garude contributed with a quickfire 51 off 23 balls. The wily off spinner rattled the opposition with his disciplined lines and lengths. On the other hand, for Royal Cricket Club, Kunal Girap was the lone warrior with the bat. Girap mustered 28 runs off 26 balls.
