Rohit Sawant displays all-round show while Ramiz smashes this year’s fastest Kanga fifty in 23 balls in the G Div Kanga League’19

Kerala Windsor opting to bat first at Khar Gymkhana posted a total of 163/10 in 46.1 overs. Most of the batters gave starts but failed to convert them into 50’s or something more than that. Mohan CC bowlers did a neat job with Rohit Sawant being the pick of the bowlers taking 4/42 in 14 overs while Ramiz Darvesh and Kawaldeep Singh picking two wickets each.

Mohan CC in reply displayed their batting firepower playing in T20 mode declaring their innings after amassing 180/5 in just 20 overs. Opener Ramiz Darvesh went all guns blazing as he went on to plunder the bowling attack right from the beginning smashing 4 fours and 4 sixes enroute his brilliant 51 off 24 balls. Even though he stayed at the crease for just 33 mins but he ensured he created havoc to the bowlers for whatever time he was on the ground.

The positive momentum was further capitalized by all-rounder Rohit Sawant who also played a blinder of a knock hitting an unbeaten 71* off 39 balls (6 fours, 5 sixes). Kerala Windsor batted for 14 overs in the 2^nd innings with opener Rohan Punjani (52* off 37 balls) & Sahil Purohit at no.3 scoring 52* off 38 balls giving a fightback in the 2^nd innings.

However the game ended in a draw with Mohan CC being declared winners on 1^st innings lead. It was an exciting match where the batsman were in T20 mode from both the sides while Ramiz certainly brought up the fastest fifty in Kanga League’19 for this season.
